THE TRIP 32 – O A S I S
We glide in on the wind and then the party starts.
One World. Three Parts.
Part One is light-filled and lush which provides
us with a wonderful sense of space and freedom.
Surrounded by ethereal architecture, billowing
fabrics, and some time in the clouds. It’s
energizing and refreshing.
Part Two is dry yet colorful and teaming with life.
We move in and out of O A S I S and discover all
it has to offer.
Part Three is dark and deep. The vibe here is the
opposite of what we encountered earlier in the
workout however it’s just as engaging, and the
beats keep us driving the intensity.
The time spent transporting between the different
Parts is not to be underestimated. Challenging
tunnels of smooth rolling jumps lure us deeper
into our experience.
The ANIMATED focus we introduced in the last
few releases continues here. However, this time
it’s on Bas to show us how he approaches it.
Hopefully, you’ve now seen various ways of using
this in your coaching and we also hope your riders
are engaging with it too.
In Bas’s words, “this might be my favorite
release!” However, we are sure he said that last
time. Enjoy your time exploring O A S I S and
diving deep into the IMMERSIVE experience.

Welcome to BODYSTEP 130. I’m really thrilled to
be sharing this special global release with you all.
Soak up all the good vibes and energy from this
live filming in London and then share it with the
people in your club.
We create a warm, welcoming and fun vibe right
from the start as we Warm-up to Sweetest Pie and
Good Time, and complete the Warm-up phase
of the workout with some slams to the left and
shakes to the right to Spice Up Your Life – our first
little shout out to our London themed release.
Peak 1 is achieved with propulsive movement
and running to Check On Me, then onto Mixed
Strength with the return of the Rotating Squat
and one of our feature moves in this release, the
6-Point Stomp.
Onto some lateral training in Peak 2 to Bones
and then we move onto some integrated strength
work for our Conditioning 1 track.
Our Party Step track is London Bridge which is our
second London themed track. Be sure to bring
out some British attitude for this one ‘Governor!’
The next 2 cardio tracks will have you gasping
for breath, so be sure to do the lighter options
should you need them.
More integrated training for the entire body and
core is next, then we wind the class down to our
3rd London themed song, Dream A Little Dream.

LONDON BOUNCE?
It was truly special and magical, with a tapestry
of emotions, having so many of YOU there in the
room at London Live. The entire BODYJAM team
agrees with me when I say it was an unforgettable
experience. For those of you who couldn’t make
it, there will be another opportunity to dance with
us soon!
LONDON BOUNCE! Track 1 is the Pop anthem of
the year. ‘Hey, it’s mess out there’ – truer words
have never been spoken. Then I got all Gandalfey and made a sassy strut track to Buddy Holly.
Block 1 – It Starts With The Music. At Les Mills
International, you basically have nothing until
you’ve got the music right. For Meno and me to
mix the beats live while the incredible team take
you through this House Bounce journey, we really
needed to start with the music. The last track,
London Bounce is going to make all your lovely
bits vibrate profusely.
Bring the heart rate down with, dare I say it, the
most funk-fueled track ever! Then, in Block 2,
LONDON BOUNCE, we’re going to take your
Hip Hop face through an Erin Maw-style HighIntensity Dance Interval Training Extravaganza
(HIDITE?).
Get low in your legs, bump your body – there’s
90s Rock anthems that you may not have heard
before and and there’s a Sorry Remix that will
blow the speakers… good times!

to bounce, everywhere, every time.

How long should I teach the new release for?
Teach this entire new release for a minumum of
two weeks and a maximum of four weeks and
then start to integrate other tracks. Then you will
not only ensure variety in exercise sequencing
and music but participants will also experience
the magic, excitement and training effect of the
new launch tracks.

SPRINT 30 is a new installment of muscially driven, powerful training – the best that the indoor bike world has to offer!
The heavy beat kicks in on Raw, and we find Heavy Load to build muscular pressure, and
when it drops the heart rate lifts in an instant.
Our next big sound also has us dealing with Heavy Load for long efforts – this is Strength
Power Training. This is about finding the right Load and pushing hard. This is THAT track.
Intensity is unmistakable.
Pumping SPRINT work brings us back to earth. We move in, on, and around the beat with
beautiful, driving, and uplifting efforts of Power Endurance.
Slow, Heavy Strength builds density into our workout before we fly away home with the
Power finisher.
This class is a mixture of sounds that trains our bodies to work hard – reaping the rewards of
high intensity interval training (HIIT)!

KEY RPM RIDING POSITIONS
Throughout the ride, we use different riding
positions. These impose slightly different
demands on the body and the working muscles.
Changing positions brings maximum benefits,
avoids over-stressing the body and brings variety
to the ride, which is an important factor in indoor
cycling.
Some positions are used at specific Paces or
Resistances as they are designed for Speed,
Climbing and Power recovery. Others are used
with all Paces and Resistance. Your goal is to ride
both effectively and efficiently in each position
and have your participants do the same.
BIKE SETUP
Before you begin the class use the ‘on-the-bike
quick check’ to make sure you have a slight bend
in your knee at the bottom of your pedal stroke.
SEAT HEIGHT
Bring your feet to 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock. Take
out your bottom foot and place your heel over the
pedal. With a straight leg and hips level, your heel
should just touch the pedal – a good seat height
for great force production. If your heel easily
touches the pedal and the knee is bent, then
the seat is too low. If you cannot reach the pedal
without losing your hip alignment, then your seat
is too high. Once you place your foot back in the
pedal/cage, check you have a slight bend in your
knee – the optimal angle is 25 degrees.
SEAT FORE AND AFT
With the pedals at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock,
position the saddle so the front knee is in line with
the pedal axle or the top toe strap of the front
pedal. If the knee is back of the pedal axle, the
seat needs to be moved forward. If the knee is
forward of the pedal axle, the seat needs to be
moved back.

Pick up your barbell, find your SET position,
