Corey Baird (New Zealand) is a LES MILLS CORE
Trainer and BODYBALANCETM/BODYFLOW®

visuals to new limits. The incredible set and
the gorgeous screens projecting a beautiful
environment all aid in the outstanding feel and

Rhythmical changes play a key role in this
workout. We move slowly to master the
movement sequences and build muscular tension,
which sets us up for success when we transition to
the faster reps.

Extended Hover combinations, Discus throwing,
glute and hip strengthening, Bolt Climbers and
Back Extensions are some of the most favorable
core moves that science backs! And CORE 45 has
them ALL, giving YOU a full 360-degree wellbalanced abdominal training class.
The music, simplicity and the close-ups will have
you able to follow and understand even the
intricate details needed to improve all areas of
technique, stability and balance.

WHY
One of the key elements of core stability is the
ability of our core muscles to coordinate their
contraction with those of the upper and lower
limbs.
Research shows that when we combine an ab
brace with movements of the arm and leg, such
as in a Hover with Alternating Toe Tap and Arm
Reach, we see more core engagement than we
do in isolated exercises such as a Crunch.
COACHING
This track is challenging in both moves: the Hover
Sequence and the lower back work. It doesn’t let
up, so spend some time getting core-fit for this
one!
The Hovers focus is to keep everything square to
the floor, so give the options to your class early on
as this movement requires strength, control and
mobility. When we revisit this move at the end it is
designed to be a challenge. What will you say and
do to help participants get to the final move?
The lower abdominal work is challenging as we
work with long levers. Again, coach the levels
to build confidence in the movement as these
require coordination as well.
The final move pops out at the end so this way
there is no checking out of the track! It’s brain
fitness with control. Pushing up to Plank and
Mountain Climbing is tough – set the options
early so participants know their choices and can
build up their fitness levels!
Lastly, in these moves, participants are not looking
at the stage, so try use powerful imagery to bring
these focuses to life, selling the benefits of this
type of training.

stability, endurance, “ouch my obliques”, strength

CXWORX moves closer to it’s name change (LES
MILLS CORE) and adds the 45-minute format
structure in this release. The learnings from
scientifically backed exercises, such as integrated
core movements, has elevated both the feel and
movement patterns in CXWORX 40.
With exercises such as the Reverse Cycle,
Dynamic Bow and Arrow, balance challenges with
over head weight plate work options and amazing
animalistic hip escapes, this release really brought
out the best in core activation, core strength and
core stability.
Standing Strength 3, seen in the 45-minute
format, is also the Bonus Track 3 used for the
30-minute format. Give it a try in your regular

Firstly, there is no change to the 30–minute format
for CXWORX, we know this format works well. We
have included a Bonus Track 03 and 06, for you to
switch in and out. We want to offer a 45–minute
format of CXWORX, we are still in a trial phase
and we want your help!
Why: We would like to give you and your clubs
an added offering which we believe completes a
full–body workout. The 45–minute format starts
with more core integrated exercises and finishes
with more core isolation, giving a whole new and
incredible feel to the workout.
What’s new: You will see along with the 30–
minute format an added three new tracks.
A specific Warm–up, an additional Standing
Strength Track (3) which you can use as the Bonus
Track 3 in the 30–minute class, and a Stretch track
at the end.
Feel free to teach this 45–minute format in live
classes to your members or just do it yourself and
let us know your thoughts.

If integrating multiple muscles, full-range
movements, fun, core strength and stability was
the game plan, then CXWORX Release 39 hits the
spot perfectly.
Release 39 has some incredible standout
moments. Track 2 showcases jumping Planks that
will ignite the core, at the same time teaching the
core muscles to fire and freeze to help stabilize
the trunk, creating a carry-over effect to lifetraining.
Track 3 has a new Lunge Chop which will fire
the slings fast, all set to the incredible sound of
Goin’ Harder. Participants favorite was throwback:
This Is How We Do It for Track 4 – the song will
take away some of the sting.
Track 5 has a Circuit feel: 3 exercises = 2 rounds =

Focus on bringing your participants into the
correct position, from the very beginning of the
track. They should feel how the abdominal brace
will help keep their lower back towards the floor
as they move. This track has great moves to get
the core ready for the workout ahead. Coach
clear Layer 1 Position and Execution cues so
participants can easily follow you and not miss
any transitions. Remember: This is your time to
get everyone into the core mindset, so approach
with a positive, enthusiastic attitude.

Engaging abs to press lower back towards the
floor

• Arms at sides, palms up

There comes a time in everyone’s core workout
when the question is asked: Have I nailed this?
The answer is “I have now…“
With an extended Warm-Up using fun rhythm
changes including oblique leg kicks, this sets
the tone early on and is echoed later on in the
workout with a deeper form of intensity and
challenge.
Exercises that both stimulate the test of stability
and ultimate core strength are thrown at us
multiple times within the workout. This increases
the opportunity for results as well as mastering
this style of core training.
A standout move in this release has to be in the
combination of both Tracks 3 and 4.
Moving with the Resisted Rainbow into a new
innovative Deadlift with the band wrapped
around the thighs is fun, effective and feels great.
The lyrics of Hey Ya in Track 6 challenge the
timing and feel of each exercise. Moving slowly
then fast never felt so good until now.

COACHING
Focus on bringing your participants into the
